Rime Time

A few weeks ago, on a rare bluebird day at Grand Targhee resort, I was with a group of ladies that skied the ‘Football Fields’ all afternoon. This southwest facing slope just off the Sacajawea chairlift proved time and time again that there was enough snow to go around, even on a Saturday afternoon in January during most skiers ’winter break’.

The day was cold; trees, shrubs, chairlifts, and lift shacks were coated with layers of rime that made everything sparkle against the bright blue sky……
