Good Intermediate ski area. Some Advanced.  Excellant beginner terrain. They had a lift called a Skimobile which was a bunch of little cars that went up the hill pulled on a platform. you had to take your skis off to ride it.

Dislikes:

West facing slopes were tough in the Spring.

General Comments:

I was certified as a “ski teacher” there in March of 1951. The Ski School Director was Hannes Schneider. I never actually got to meet him, but I remember he walked with a bad limp when I saw him there. His son Herbert was the “examiner” for certification and he was a really nice fella.

His dad really brought skiing as a sport to the United States. He taught the stem-christie technique.

Hannes Schneider was the father of "Make turns, not war" his experience in WWI led him to the conclusion that if everybody skied then there would be no war.
