Fresh powder and newly opened ski trails greeted riders who ventured up to Winter Park Resort to take advantage of Snowboarding Demo Day.  All the latest snowboards from manufactures like Burton, Nitro, Ride, Salomon, Santa Cruz, Rossignol and the local’s favorite Never Summer Snowboards were available for riders to sample.  Some skiers were grumbling about the less than favorable conditions that they faced when Winter Park hosted the Ski Demo Day a week before when there was only 630 vertical feet to try the new skis on. Since then over two feet of powder has fallen on the slopes at Winter Park leading to the opening of the Zephyr, Eskimo, Olympia and Looking Glass chairlifts.  And there was still plenty of untracked powder to be found for those adventuresome enough to seek it out.
