- About Me: My habit started in Metro Detroit with the Malow Jr. High skiclub on Thursday nights after class. We would go to either Mt. Holly or Pine Knob both just a short drive up I-75. My younger brother Matt started skiing a few years latter so we now had some bargaining power with the parents to go on "ski vacations up north". Crystal, the Boynes, and Nubs Knob where no common locations we would go either for a winter break or a quick weekend get-a-way. Growing up skiing in Michigan was good if not great, I could get out of school drive to Mt. Holly in less than 45 minutes ski for a few hours get home just in time to not do any homework before bed. Then one day the neighbors messed it all up for me when they went to a place called COLORADO. They told me about a natural phenomenon known as Mountains that you could ski down via 3 + mile long groomers, I had to get to these mountains mach schnell. To sum it up brother and I convinced my parents to take us out West went came back went to Utah, went to college got bad grads, moved to Summit County to be a liftie for a semester, went back to school and graduated. Moved to NM for the summer again went back to Detroit and instantly realized this wasn't for me. Been living at the base of the Tetons for 7 years now.
