General Comments/Likes
Alta has amazing snow. I’ve been there in four different ski seasons and it has always been very consistently good. Good lifts, good layout, good food and beer. It is also great to end the day at the bar at the Alta Peruvian Lodge. Super-friendly folks there.
Dislikes
Sorry – I’m sure I’ll be the subject of hate-mail here, but I think Alta is totally overrated. I enjoy it – it is a great area, but it is not the be-all and end-all of ski areas. It is too crowded most days, and you have to do a hell of a lot of hiking to get the goods. I prefer Snowbasin any day of the week…
