General Comments/Likes

Devil’s Thumb Ranch has undergone a radical transformation in recent years. Vastly improved facilities have not detracted from the charm of Devil’s Thumb from years gone by. Outstanding trail grooming, great food and a unique high altitude location providing spectacular views makes Devil’s Thumb a great choice for Nordic skiing.

Dislikes

I-70 and Berthoud Pass on a weekend are uglier than driving the Dan Ryan Expressway at 5:PM.

I suggest arriveing late in the day and hanging out in the lodge for dinner before braving the drive back to the Front Range.
