King Ridge GHOST SKI HILL Historic/Ghost Area Resort (Are you this resort?)
King Ridge (1961-1995) was an upside-down mountain, you drove to the summit “base” lodge and skied down to the lifts. 2 chairs, 2 T-Bars & 3 J-bars and a 800 foot vertical drop. It was the first ski area in New England to have a triple chair (with a bubble top) and was the last of the “affordable” ski areas.

General Comments/Likes
Loved the upside-down aspect of King Ridge, there was something cool about starting your day by skiing down to the lifts. There was a nice “base” lodge at the summit. All the trail names were from Alice in Wonderland. Favorite trails; the Jabberwocky, the March Hare and the Mad Hatter.
We loved the “bubble” chair that King Ridge put in.
Dislikes
King Ridge did not receive an abundance of natural snow so it had to rely on snowmaking and could get icy.
