Lake Wissota State Park has 7 miles of groomed and marked cross-country ski trails. The park also has a 9.6 miles of trail open for snowshoeing, and snowshoes are available for rent at the park office. Camping is available year round.
A very family friendly area with easy terrain. There are very few hills that will scare you on parallel skis. Be sure to check out the beaver dam if you have time.
Dislikes
The trails in the open aren’t as fun, and are often used by snowmobiles. Do the loops in the trees instead.
