General Comments/Likes
Las Lenas is one of my top three favorite resorts I have ever been to. I have been skiing there every summer for the last 7 years and have no plans to change my tradition. The terrain is world class. With that said, Lenas is a skier’s mountain. There is not a lot beginner/intermediate terrain. It is very remote and rescue is limited. The closest big hospital is five hours away and rarely is there a heli in Lenas. The lifts are slow and may verge on dangerous. There is five star lodging and dinning available for a price, but most skiers choose to rent an apartment and cook. Most restaurants do not serve dinner until 9:30pm. It is an adventure to get to Lenas and an adventure while you are there, but an adventure that I love to go on every year.
Dislikes
The wind can nuke in Lenas. This can ruin the snow and your trip. It can also create huge piles of powder if you are willing to look for them.
