The Mary Jane, or better known to her loyal fans as simply “The Jane”, is the sister ski hill to the Winter Park Resort. Completed in 1975, the genius of the Jane’s trail design came from Steve Bradley, the creator of modern slope grooming and inventor of the Bradley Packer.
This is interesting only because The Jane is known for her blistering bumps and tree skiing, not her groomed trails!
Mary Jane is one of the best mountains I have had the pleasure to hang on. This place has it all. Just think what gives you thrills on advanced ski areas and you get the picture and that is worth more than a thousand words. The trails, on and off, here are to fall in love with. After all my flights out to WP, the anticipation, the wait, the airports, not sleeping that first night at altitude (and a few more nights of no sleep), the Jane just puts that all aside. If you are a better than average skiier you must come here. Don’t ski for years, get old and not ski here. Do not do that to yourself. If you love skiing, then ski Mary Jane. You will agree.
