Mary Jane Alpine/Downhill Resorts Resort (Are you this resort?)
The Mary Jane, or better known to her loyal fans as simply “The Jane”, is the sister ski hill to the Winter Park Resort. Completed in 1975, the genius of the Jane’s trail design came from Steve Bradley, the creator of modern slope grooming and inventor of the Bradley Packer.
This is interesting only because The Jane is known for her blistering bumps and tree skiing, not her groomed trails!

General Comments/Likes
Contiguous with and accessible from Winter Park, Mary Jane has its own devotees and community. They like their bumps large and in quantity, and if I’m not mistaken this place is the mogul capital of the West at least. There’s plenty of tree skiing too from low angle glades hidden in the middle of it all to gnarly, cliff-strewn steeps. Surmounting it all is Parsenn Bowl which is about as alpine as it gets. Not sure if the Eagle Wind and Vasquez Cirque are considered the Jane (largely accessed via the Panoramic) or WP but these are special areas that should not be missed. The Jane has its share of mellow blues and a couple of quad burners too if you’re into groomers. Base area parking lots have an active party scene.
You’ll want to eat at the Shipwreck on the old route 40. Great Po Boys.
