General Comments/Likes
Red Mountain is still an undiscovered gem, with terrific powder and long runs. With two peaks, Red and the much larger Granite Mountain you could spend 2 weeks skiing here and not explore everything the area has to offer. Granite Mountain has 360 degrees of skiing off its volcanic peak with steep runs in the crater and a 2800 foot vertical drop. Nearby Rossland is a quaint mining town with some decent restaurants. Favorite runs: Beer Belly, Needles, Cambodia, Cliffs of Red, Lynx. And the snow ghosts were everywhere!
Dislikes
Boy I couldn’t think of anything that I disliked about Red Mountain, this was probably one of my best ski trips of all time.
