General Comments/Likes

Silverton Mountain is skiing the way it used to be, no base village, no condos, no outlet stores… Skiing, just skiing. All on some of the best terrain this side of Chamonix. The base lodge is a yurt-like construction with few amenities (but PBR on tap at 4:00 PM is the only amenity you’ll really need). One fixed-grip double chair and a converted meat wagon is all you need for transportation at Silverton. Deep powder… Take a guide.

It’s a long drive to Silverton Mountain from Winter Park, unguided season is too short.
