General Comments/Likes
I went up to Stowe on a road trip with my dad back when I was in college. The terrain was great, as was the snow, and really the mountain has the most Western feel of any Eastern resort I’ve ever been to, and that’s most definitely a good thing: an open feel, kind of rough and scruff and craggy in many places with plenty of access to some “sidecountry” (not really full-on backcountry, from what I could tell, but definite off the beaten path). On that last note, there are some seriously good backcountry riders on that mountain.
Dislikes
Some of the service and amenity components of Stowe and the surrounding area are a little lacking, but overall the area leaves a generally good feeling in my memory.
