General Comments/Likes
Sunday River with 92% snow-making produces the best man-made snow in the East. With the ability to build a great base early in the season Sunday River can really take advantage of its 155" of natural snow. 19 lifts servicing 9 peaks means you can really stay ahead of the crowds. Favorite trails include White Heat, Agony, Vortex, Airglow and Black Hole. The Sunday River Brewery is a great apres ski stop for micro brews. And lots of lodging options in nearby Bethel, Maine.

If you don’t know how to ski the River to stay ahead of the crowds you can get caught up in some lift lines. And it is a long drive from Boston.
