Tuckerman Ravine BACKCOUNTRY Backcountry Area Resort (Are you this resort?)
Tuckerman Ravine is where back country skiing began in the U.S. The first descent on skis on Mount Washington was in 1899. A three-mile hike from the Pinkham Notch Visitor Center brings you to the base of the ravine, a steep snow filled cirque below and to the west of the summit of Mount Washington. Home of the worst weather on earth and some of the best skiing in the east.
