General Comments/Likes

Wildcat has always been my favorite ski area in New Hampshire. It has the best views in all of New England, Mount Washington and Tuckerman Ravine are directly across Pinkham Notch from the “Cat”. 2112 feet of vertical and it’s all right there in front of you. With an annual snowfall of +200" Wildcat has served up some of my best New England powder days. Reasonable lift ticket rates with great deals like ski on your birthday for free!, Two-Fer Wednesdays, and the next day’s ticket is only $39 if you buy it by 3:30 PM. And if you don’t like the conditions you can return your lift ticket within 1 hour of purchase for a rain check. Plus the Cat has Thompson’s… ’nuff said.

Dislikes

It is a bit on the remote side, but to ski a true ski area… no plastic base “village”, no shopping, no condos, no lodging at all, hard to say I dislike that. There’s plenty of all that in nearby Jackson & North Conway, and there’s plenty of motels just ten miles to the north in Gorham.
