Wow – Wolf Creek rocks! This was one of the best times I’ve ever had skiing. This little resort in the middle of nowhere has amazing terrain. We loved the waterfall area. Very affordable and non-crowded too. I recommend staying at the Spring Inn in Pagosa Springs. They have great packages including skiing, stay, and the fantastic local hot springs (which are right outside).

Slow lifts, but as I always say – that’s the price you pay for a non-crowded ski area. I’ll take it any day over lift lines. Grooming wasn’t great, nor was quantity of intermediate and beginner trails. I don’t care about that, but if you do it might be a consideration. Also you have to be really determined to get to Wolf Creek. it is not really close to any metropolitan area or airport.
